Captain
Low Country Yacht Charters, LLC, located in City Marina in downtown Charleston is always looking for qualified a part-time charter Captain(s).
The Captain will conduct La Nina boat charters, which are typically 3 hour tours in the Charleston vicinity, but can be longer duration / distance.
La Nina is a 2012 34’ Beneteau Trawler, which can take up to 6 paying guests (6 pack charters).

High level job description:
· Coordinate with VP, Business Development and Customer Relations regarding availability and scheduling
· Arrive 30 minutes prior to charter time to conduct boat checks (oil, filters, etc.) and prep boat boat for charter (remove covers, warm up engine, etc)
· Ensure signed charter contract is present
· Complete pre and post charter trip logs and paperwork
· Conduct boat charter as per agreement with guest and VP, Business Development and Customer Relations
· Monitor fuel consumption and report back to VP, Business Development and Customer Relations
· Conduct post charter shut down procedures and boat wash / clean; refuel as necessary
· Other duties as required and agreed upon
Requirements:
· Minimum US Coast Guard 6 passenger license
· Experience in running boat charters
· Experience with the greater Charleston area, including location such as James Island, Shem Creek, Capers Island, etc.
· Excellent interpersonal and guest relations skills
· Ability to pass a drug screen, as required
Boat Keeper
Low Country Yacht Charters, LLC, located at Charleston City Marina in downtown Charleston is looking for a part-time Boat Keeper (aka House Keeper). The Boat Keeper will assist LCYC Crew maintain La Nina. La Nina is a 2012 34’ Beneteau Trawler, which can take up to 6 paying guests.
High level job description:

Coordinate with VP, Business Development and Customer Relations regarding scheduling and issues

Dust and polish furniture and fixtures

Clean and sanitize toilets, showers/bathtubs, countertops, and sinks

Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen area

Make beds and change linens
-
Sort, wash, (un)load laundry
-
Clean windows, mirrors and other glass surfaces
-
Polish leather seating
-
Empty trash receptacles and disposing of waste

Vacuum curtains
-
Vacuum and clean rugs
-
Sweep/vacuum, mop and polish hard floors
-
Tidy up rooms
-
Use any cleaning equipment such as vacuums, mops, and other cleaning tools

Keep boat stocked with clean linens and other supplies
-
Monitor cleaning supplies and order more as needed

Report any necessary repairs or replacements

Other duties as required
Requirements:
-
Knowledge of and experience in housekeeping to varying levels to meet requirements; boat knowledge is a plus.

Willingness to learn new cleaning methods (as needed to maintain a boat) and how to use various pieces of equipment.

Ability to adapt to different situations and change work processes to accommodate customer needs.

Boat Detailer Job Description
We are looking for a thorough, responsible Boat Detailer who will adhere to provide quality marine cleaning services to our customers. The Boat Detailer will clean boats according to company standards or client specifications, which may include performing detail inspections, thoroughly washing, buffing, and waxing exteriors, vacuuming, steaming, and deodorizing interiors, and keeping records related to gas levels and the condition of the boat. You should possess strong customer service skills and be familiar with the tools and agents used to clean and maintain vehicles.
To be a successful Boat Detailer, you should be committed to providing excellent service to customers. You should be courteous, responsible, and detail-oriented.
Boat Detailer Responsibilities:

Cleaning boat interiors and exteriors in compliance with all company standards and client requests

Operating buffers, steamers, hoses, vacuums, and other equipment to meet service expectations

Using cleaning, protective, and restorative agents to maintain and enhance the appearance of boats

Performing inspections and keeping complete, accurate records of the boat's condition

Managing inventory and reordering supplies

Responding to VP inquiries and fulfilling guest requests

Boat Detailer Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent and a valid state driver’s license with good driving record

Prior detailing experience may be preferred

Attention to detail with excellent service, communication, and interpersonal skills

Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including walking, crouching, bending, and standing for extended periods

Willingness to comply with all company policies and uphold standards for service quality

Availability to work weekends
